Grove House

Formerly known as Brook Cottage, Grove House was probably built around the end of the 18th century when the cotton-spinning company was in full swing.

It is thought to have been the mill manager’s house – the 1851 census show’s that the son of owner, John Evans was resident there. This was Albert Evans and he was entered into the census as ‘Manager in Cotton Mill’
