Percy Seed hits the news!
Chairmaker Percy Seed hit the local news in August, 1975, when an article was published about his model chairmaking. Many a Chipping family has a set of miniature Berry’s rush bottomed chairs.
Percy’s father, John, was a chairmaker and his mother was Martha Jane Berry, a sister of HJ Berry.
His older brother Horace also worked at the chairworks.
