Corn Mill

1544 Document

This document dated to the 37th year of Henry VIII’s reign is an official change of ownership of the water corn mill at Kirk Mill. The first documentary record of Kirk Mill in Chipping, the document shows that John, son and heir of Eustace Hesketh and Jane, his wife surrender the property to Richard and Edmund Wood on 13th October, 1544.
